Global travel and trade mean that emerging and reemerging diseases and drug-resistant pathogens have more opportunities to spread. Challenges like climate change, environmental degradation and pollution, and antimicrobial resistance require interdisciplinary and international responses. The One Health approach to research and policy recognizes that the health of animals, humans, and the environment is intertwined at a local, regional, and global level. The One Health Trust’s studies and projects address global challenges on multiple continents to inform local, national, and international policy and practices.
