On March 25, 2025, the Global Antibiotic Resistance Partnership (GARP) – Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) Working Group hosted an in-person workshop in Abidjan, co-organized by the One Health Trust and the Centre de Diagnostic et de Recherche sur le SIDA et Autres Maladies Infectieuses (CeDReS – CHU de Treichville).

The workshop brought together experts from microbiology, immunology, pediatrics, veterinary medicine, public health, and economics to explore how vaccines can be leveraged to control antimicrobial resistance (AMR)—a growing threat that continues to undermine the effectiveness of treatment for common infections. The workshop also aimed to engage experts in reviewing and refining a draft policy brief highlighting how vaccines can be strategically used to address AMR in Ivory Coast.
