Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and climate change are major global health challenges with widespread social, economic, and environmental impacts. Both disproportionately affect vulnerable populations, particularly in low- and middle-income countries, where access to healthcare and essential medicines is often limited.
Researchers at the One Health Trust, in collaboration with Amrita University, the University of Cape Town, and Eh!woza, are seeking to understand how gender and other sociocultural factors influence AMR in the context of climate change.
