On September 20, 2016, at the Yale Club in New York City, on the eve of the 2016 High-Level meeting of United Nations General Assembly, the One Health Trust, Pew Charitable Trusts, Global Antibiotic Resistance Partnership, Infectious Disease Society of America, The British Society for Antimicrobial Chemotherapy, the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, Wellcome, and the German Center for Infection Research (DZIF) hosted a side event on Antimicrobial Resistance and the need for urgent action.
The invite-only event convened 300 stakeholders and global leaders for a symposium that addressed antibiotic stewardship and conservation, innovation, and global accountability and governance. The symposium was followed by a cocktail reception.
