CDDEP researchers used data on global sales of antibiotics for use in humans to estimate global antibiotic consumption between 2000 and 2015. Change in antibiotic consumption rate per 1,000 inhabitants per day. For Vietnam, Bangladesh, The Netherlands, and Croatia, change is calculated from 2005, and for Algeria from 2002.
