Overview
Restrictive measures intended to contain COVID-19 severely affected the physical, emotional, and mental health of children and caregivers. Children with disabilities were disproportionately harmed by school closures. One Health Trust’s researchers in New Delhi, India are investigating the consequences of school closures so that policymakers can develop ways to minimize harm in future pandemics.
The Study
This study on the education, learning outcomes, and physical and mental health of children with disabilities uses several approaches:
- Focus group discussions with teachers.
- In-depth semistructured interviews with parents.
- A quantitative survey of teachers and parents.
