Namitha Prabhu

Ms. Namitha Prabhu is a communications associate based in Bangalore, India. 

At the One Health Trust, Ms. Prabhu is responsible for maintaining the OHT website and crafting content about OHT publications for various social media channels. Additionally, she helps write newsletters, provides technical and communication support during events, assists in revising media transcripts, uploads videos to OHT’s YouTube channel, and engages with followers and external institutions on social media platforms. 

Before joining OHT, she worked as a health content writer with Happiest Health, where she specialized in researching and crafting detailed feature articles, news pieces, and video stories focusing on neurology, neuroscience, and various health-related subjects. Additionally, she managed newsletters and contributed to social media content. 

Ms. Prabhu received a master’s degree in Biotechnology from D Y Patil University, Navi Mumbai, and a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from NITTE University, Deralakatte. For her master’s thesis, Namitha investigated microbial contaminants found in various cosmetic emulsions and developed natural preservatives to address the problem. Her research interests include microbial infection mechanisms, host-pathogen interactions, and disease prevention strategies.
