In coverage by the Indian Express of a study co-authored by OHT’s Dr. Ramanan Laxminarayan, he highlighted the study’s key findings: “Our study found that in India, some patients were exposed unnecessarily to antibiotics, while others did not have access to the right antibiotics to treat their infections.” He added, “Strategies to improve antibiotic use should focus on ensuring people have access to the right antibiotics at the right time while reducing unnecessary use.”
