The One Health Trust is seeking an Information Technology (IT) professional to join its new global campus in Bangalore, India. The One Health Trust (OHT) employs interdisciplinary expertise to address issues related to infectious diseases, climate change, biodiversity protection, and the effect of changing human diets on the planet. OHT is the successor to the Center for Disease Dynamics, Economics & Policy (CDDEP), which since 2010 has conducted actionable research on major global health challenges like antimicrobial resistance, malaria, pandemic response, vaccination coverage, and noncommunicable diseases.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Centralize IT operations
  • Manage complex system administrator items (online archive mailboxes, domain name transfer), backups and rotation for safe storage
  • Install and configure computer hardware and servers, networks devices, operating systems, and applications (desktops and servers), rollout new applications
  • Troubleshoot system/network problems, hardware/software faults, password resets, problem emails (phishing/scam)
  • Provide remote support to users and procedural documentation
  • Configure and manage licenses (STATA, O365, etc)
  • Update systems/servers regularly and develop policies for email security, periodic data audits and backups to prevent information loss and unauthorized access
  • Monitor system & server logs for security or performance issues
  • Account recovery
  • Manage Business Continuity Planning (BCP) with file recovery
  • Vendor management

Requirements:

  • ME/M.TECH or B.E/B.TECH degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technology degree
  • At least five years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. A directly related higher degree from an accredited institution may be substituted for up to two years of experience
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Skills:

  • Strong background in Windows/ Windows Server OS & Linux/ Linux Server OS
  • Advanced knowledge of a wide range of computer systems software, applications, hardware, networking, and communications (ex O365, Firewall, Routers, Switches etc.)
  • Ability to provide advanced technical assistance and comprehensive problem resolution to end users
  • Strong writing, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Well organized and can work independently
