The Presidential Advisory Council on Combating Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria (PACCARB), co-chaired by One Health Trust director Ramanan Laxminarayan, published a report which provides recommendations on how to modify existing pandemic preparedness policies in the U.S. to further bolster the country’s efforts to tackle resistant pathogens. Internal meetings among the members of the PACCARB working group and presentations from federal policymakers informed the report’s key recommendations, which center around rebuilding the trust of the American public in public health guidance, strengthening infection prevention and control, expanding data sharing and security, and more.
