The Question
How can a failure in the eradication of malaria be avoided?
What we found
Past mistakes need to be taken into account, though new issues must also be anticipated. Along with stable financing, a strategic plan to optimally use available tools must be formulated. Both good medical intelligence and quantitative logic are critical.
Why it matters
Past efforts to eradicate malaria have failed due to decreasing funding and interest. With new funding and attention there is cautious optimism regarding malaria.
