Rishma Amarsy

Dr. Rishma Amarsy is a Visiting Research Scientist at OHT, based in Bangalore, India.

Dr. Amarsy is a clinical microbiologist and epidemiologist with expertise in infection prevention and control, healthcare-associated infections, and antimicrobial resistance (AMR). At OHT, she contributes to research projects focused on the global burden of AMR and healthcare-associated infections.

Before joining OHT, Dr. Amarsy was the head of the infection prevention and control team at Lariboisière and Fernand Widal University Hospitals, part of the Greater Paris University Hospitals in Paris, France. Her work has focused on strengthening infection prevention and control practices and addressing healthcare-associated infections and AMR.

Dr. Amarsy holds a PharmD and a PhD in Epidemiology. Her research interests include AMR, healthcare-associated infections, infection prevention and control, clinical epidemiology, and systematic reviews.
