Alisa Hamilton

Senior Research Analyst

Alisa Hamilton is a Senior Research Analyst based in Washington D.C., USA.

At the One Health Trust, Ms. Hamilton’s research has focused on assessing drivers of antibiotic prescribing as well as COVID-19 cases, including climatological factors, non-pharmaceutical interventions, and sociodemographic factors. Her other projects include modeling vaccine-averted health burden for HIV and malaria.

Prior to joining the One Health Trust, Ms. Hamilton worked as a Consultant Knowledge Exchange Advisor for the World Health Organization and the Mental Health Innovation Network on a project highlighting healthcare worker experiences with mental health service delivery during the COVID-19 pandemic.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Anthropology from Bates College, her Master of Arts in Art Psychotherapy from Goldsmiths, University of London, and her Master of Science in Global Mental Health from London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and King’s College London.

Ms. Hamilton is passionate about using research to influence policy and investment to improve population health and wellbeing. Her interests in health economics and the intersections of medicine and development led her to the One Health Trust, where she hopes her contributions to antimicrobial resistance research will address social determinants and strengthen health systems.
