GARP-Mozambique held its national kick-off meeting at the Universidade Eduardo Mondlane School of Medicine in Maputo on July 9, 2023. In the meeting presided over by GARP Mozambique Chair Dr. Esperança Sevene and Co-chair Dr. Betuel Sigauque, the technical working group was introduced to the GARP initiative, its past association with Mozambique, and current objectives. Discussions included a review of the current national action plan against AMR in Mozambique, the national AMR burden, and the role of vaccines in mitigating it.
