Shreya Biswas

Dr. Shreya Biswas is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics and Finance at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, Hyderabad campus, India.

At BITS Pilani, Dr. Biswas focuses on research and teaching in areas spanning gender, health, household finance, and public policy. Her work contributes to a deeper understanding of economic and social issues in both national and global contexts.

Dr. Biswas received her PhD from the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research, Mumbai, India. She has published extensively and has received external research funding from organizations including the Indian Council of Social Science Research, Dvara Research, and the Aditya Birla Center for Enriching Lives.

She regularly serves as a referee for leading international journals and is a fellow at the Global Labor Organization and Policy Edge.
