Antony Paul Payyappilly

Antony Paul Payyappilly is a PhD candidate based in Bangalore, India, pursuing Data Sciences for Global Health, a program jointly offered by BITS Pilani and the One Health Trust.
Before pursuing his PhD, Dr. Paul Payyappilly worked as a programme associate at the Centre for One Health in Kerala, India.
His research focuses on the governance of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) policies and the application of data science to examine the social and environmental determinants driving AMR.
Antony received a master’s degree in Public Health from the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram, India; a master’s degree in Environmental and Occupational Health from Indira Gandhi National Open University, India; a postgraduate diploma in One Health from Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Wayanad, India; and a bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery from Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Dental Sciences, Dharwad, India.
His research interests include AMR, One Health, and environmental health.
