The Question
Based on available data, in which malaria-endemic countries is elimination feasible?
What we found
After ranking the countries in terms of technical and operational feasibility, it was found that malaria elimination would be most feasible in countries in Asia and the Americas and least feasible in countries in western and central Africa.
Why it matters
While these rankings are not designed to be predictive nor absolute, they demonstrate that it is possible to make evidence-based evaluations of malaria-elimination feasibility that can be easily updated.
