Felix Bahati
Felix Bahati is a Research Analyst Consultant based in Nairobi, Kenya.
At the One Health Trust, Mr. Bahati serves as a consultant data analyst within the Global Antibiotic Resistance Partnership (GARP) project, which focuses on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) research and policy efforts in 15 countries in Africa and Asia. He is also the coordinator of the Kenyan AMR Technical Working Group.
Prior to joining OHT, Mr. Bahati served as an Assistant Research Officer at KEMRI Wellcome Trust where he investigated access to diagnostic/pathology services among Kenyan patients through health systems research. He has also served as a lead consultant at Osaka Metropolitan University where he offered epidemiology expertise in the SATREPS project which aimed to establish ways of malaria eradication along the shores of L. Victoria through citizen science intervention.
Mr. Bahati received a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Maseno University, Kenya and a Master of Science in Public Health at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Kenya.
His research interests include the epidemiology of infectious diseases especially with regards to antimicrobial resistance, schistosomiasis, and malaria, as well as innovations for rapid detection of these infectious diseases.
