The Launch of The Lancet Series on Antimicrobial Resistance: Sustainable Access to Effective Antibiotics was hosted on the sidelines of the World Health Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland on May 28, 2024, at the Jardin de Penthes. The event, organized by the One Health Trust, was co-hosted by IFPMA, the Global AMR R&D Hub, ICARS, IDSA, Africa CDC, AMR Action Fund, and FIND. The event was also supported by the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The event served to amplify the series, which shares data, evidence, and policy recommendations to serve as the cornerstone for a United Nations resolution addressing antimicrobial resistance ahead of the 2024 United Nations General Assembly High-Level Meeting on AMR.
