On March 5, 2024, in Washington, D.C., the One Health Trust, in partnership with the Infectious Diseases Society of America, the Sepsis Alliance, the AMR Action Fund, and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, held a nonpartisan, in-person policy briefing on tackling antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

Entitled “Addressing Antimicrobial Resistance: Progress Made and Threats Remaining,” the event featured important talks on advances that have been made in addressing drug resistance and its remaining and increasing burden. Our speakers, including OHT’s Ramanan Laxminarayan, Mary Booth Dwight, Jacqueline Duda, Paul Pottinger MD, John Alter, and Daniel Jernigan,  put out a call to action for the urgent need to keep our antibiotics working and discussed AMR mitigation strategies.
